This was the most stressful project from the entire semester. I started it with high hopes and a lot of ideas, but it didn't really worked out at the end.
The themes I chose were food and cultural heritage. I wanted to illustrate how important food is in the Argentinian culture. My first idea was to make a menu with many traditional Argentinian foods, but I decided that was boring.

After that, I decided to focus on how food had an impact on our history. I began to research about how one of our traditional desserts (dulce de leche) was originated. Basically, it was accidentally created by a Buenos Aires's governor (Juan Manuel de Rosas)'s maid. This "accident" became the foundation of many Latin American desserts. I collaged many images together to create a reference for the illustration.

I used Prismacolor pencils for the drawing. After scanning it, I added some images from some national heroes and battles.

Although I consider that one my final piece, I also worked on a small zine about the Invasions of the River Plate (Las Invasiones Inglesas), another historial event that were food was involved. However, because of my lack of knowledge of InDesign I wasn't confident enough in making it a reality.
